Lennon

SPONSOR ME

Lennon's journey began at the Lancrăm high-kill shelter in Transylvania, Romania, where he arrived on 7 August 2025. Already around nine years old, Lennon was one of the shelter's senior residents. Gentle, quiet, and already rather thin, he struggled to compete with the other dogs for food. Because of his peaceful nature, he was often pushed aside and ended up with numerous bite wounds from the stronger dogs around him.

Knowing that Lennon would not cope much longer in such a harsh environment, Walnut Tree Sanctuary rescued him as an emergency in October 2025. He was transferred to Elena, one of our partner fosters in Curtea de Argeș, Romania, where he has finally been able to recover in safety.

The transformation has been wonderful to witness. Lennon has regained the weight he had lost and surprised us all with his playful personality. Every time we have visited him, he has been full of life, happily running around, enjoying himself, and showing genuine curiosity about the people around him. He loves affection and happily comes over for cuddles, yet he also has an independent side, content to explore his surroundings before returning to check in with his human friends.

Lennon has now been in our care for almost a year and is approaching his tenth birthday. Despite his age, he still has so much love, joy, and companionship to offer. We would dearly love to see him find the loving home he deserves while he still has many happy years ahead of him.

By sponsoring Lennon, you are helping us provide the care and support he needs while he waits for the family who will finally give this wonderful gentleman the retirement he has always deserved.
