Manda

SPONSOR ME

Manda's story began at the Lancrăm high-kill shelter in Transylvania, Romania, where she arrived on 8 December 2025.

Manda is a stunning German Shepherd. Beautiful, intelligent and exceptionally well behaved, she already knew how to walk beautifully on a lead, responded reliably off lead, and had an excellent recall. We will probably never know how a dog of such quality and such wonderful training ended up in a high-kill shelter, but sadly, that is where we found her.

After spending two months in Lancrăm, we knew we couldn't leave her there. We rescued Manda and transferred her to Angela, one of our partner boarding kennels in Deva, where she has been waiting ever since for her chance to join the Walnut Tree Sanctuary.

Manda is everything people love about the German Shepherd breed. She is affectionate, loyal, calm and eager to be close to people. She gets along very well with other dogs and is a pleasure to spend time with. Her excellent manners and balanced temperament make her an easy companion.

Although her beautiful appearance makes her look much younger, Manda is no longer a young dog. She has already waited far too long for someone to choose her, and she deserves to spend the years ahead in the comfort and security of a loving home instead of another kennel.

By sponsoring Manda, you are helping us provide the care and support she needs while she waits for the family who will finally give this wonderful girl the life she has always deserved.
