Scott & Rosie

SPONSOR ME

Scott and Rosie are brother and sister. We first heard about their brother, Watson, at the very beginning of Walnut Tree Sanctuary, when we started rescuing dogs from Romania. At that time, we worked alongside other French rescue organisations, helping to bring some of their dogs to safety at our sanctuary.

Watson was a small, black, Griffon-type dog who had spent five years in the shelter of Bragadiru, near Bucharest, after arriving there as a one-year-old. We were told very little about him, other than that he was fearful and had spent almost his entire life confined to a small kennel. We decided to give him a chance and brought him to the sanctuary. Thanks to one of our French partner rescue organisations, Watson was adopted into a loving home surprisingly quickly.

A couple of months later, we were heartbroken to discover that Watson had not been alone. He had a brother, Scott, and a sister, Rosie, who had both been left behind in Bragadiru. We immediately began searching for them and found them still waiting there. We knew we couldn't leave them behind.

We rescued Scott and Rosie from Bragadiru and transferred them to Cosmin's shelter in eastern Romania, where they have been waiting ever since for their opportunity to travel to the sanctuary.

Scott is a small Terrier-type dog. Although he can be wary and bark when someone unfamiliar enters his kennel, we have been told that he is a friendly dog who simply needs a little time to feel safe. Rosie, who looks like a little teddy bear, is the more fearful of the two. Despite her fears, she has never shown any aggression.

We hope to welcome Scott and Rosie to the sanctuary very soon, where they can begin their rehabilitation, learn to trust people and, just like their brother Watson, find the loving families they so deserve.

By sponsoring Scott and Rosie, you will help provide their food, veterinary care and everything they need while they wait for their new beginning.
