Serena

SPONSOR ME

Serena was just one year old when she arrived at the high-kill shelter of Lancrăm, Transylvania, Romania, at the end of August 2025. She arrived alongside her brother, Bear. Although Serena is a gentle, medium-to-small Shepherd-type dog, she attracted very little attention from rescue organisations. For such a young and sensitive dog, spending a long time in Lancrăm would have been devastating, so we decided to rescue her.

Serena was transferred to Cosmin's shelter in eastern Romania, where she has been waiting ever since. Sadly, she had already been separated from her brother Bear while still at Lancrăm, so we were unable to keep them together.

Like her brother, Serena is a timid dog who has never learned to walk on a lead or to explore the world outside her kennel. Although leaving her kennel is frightening for her, she is gentle, affectionate and curious once you spend a little time with her. She enjoys quiet company and simply needs patience and reassurance to begin building her confidence.

We hope to welcome Serena to the sanctuary very soon, where she can begin her rehabilitation, discover that people can be kind and trustworthy, and finally let her true personality shine. We are confident that, given the chance, Serena will blossom into a wonderful companion and find the loving forever home she deserves.

By sponsoring Serena, you will help provide her food, veterinary care and everything she needs while she waits for her new beginning.
